The process.

Every Calico wood sign is created one at a time in our California workshop.

We begin with your wording, preferred size, wood type, and artwork. The layout is carefully prepared to balance the lettering and image on the selected board.

The design is routed and carved into the wood, then hand-painted for strong contrast and lasting character. The edges and surface are finished to suit the selected style.

Before shipping, we inspect the completed sign for spelling, layout, finish, and craftsmanship. Most signs are completed within 3–5 business days.
